Attracting Good Affiliates

Good affiliates can be hard to get. There could be any number of reasons for this, but I am going to focus on what I believe is the one major problem that prevents someone from attracting good affiliates. But first lets look at what the make up of a good affiliate may be. A good affiliate is:

Hard Working
Persistent
Motivated to work their business
Does not need constant reassurance
Makes and implements goals
Overcomes obstacles
Recognizes and takes good advice
And Never, Never, Never quits!

The question some may ask is, "Where are these people at?" I'll tell you. Most of these people are already successful with their own affiliate program. And they are successful for the very reasons listed above. Also, they did not fall prey to the very problem that many searching for good affiliates are causing themselves. And that is advertising hype. They overlooked that and went into the marketing program with a desire to succeed, understanding that it is going to require work and time to be successful. Unfortunately though many are for the first time looking for a home business and don't know what internet marketing is all about. They are vulnerable to all the hype infested ads out there.

Now. If a person signs up for an affiliate program with none of the traits listed above for a good affiliate can they indeed be a good affiliate? Yes! But it will be an uphill battle helping them to develop some of the above traits. Even though it would be hard it is still worth it to work with them in hopes they will become the perfect affiliate. Who knows.They may become your best affiliate yet! But I want to focus on getting the good affiliates from the start. Why?

My logic is this. I would rather have one good affiliate that is a real go-getter then ten thousand that do nothing or very little at all. That way you have more time to focus on your own business then spending a lot of time babysitting someone who will probably eventually give up. The best route to go is to get affiliates who are already conditioned. Well just how do we do that? There is only one way to do that and that is how your opportunity is presented to prospects.

Most all advertising someone does is loaded with hype. Whether it is their search engine description, classified ads, or email. This is what prevents marketers from getting good affiliates. If possible you must remove all the hype from your advertising and sales letter. Now I know that some of us work an affiliate program owned by someone else. And you may be required to use the advertising and sales letter that they give you. But if possible use the ones that have the least amount of hype. What do I mean by hype!

Hype is where you describe something to the greatest, allowable, extreme possibility. Such as but not limited to the following:

Make a MILLION DOLLARS every time you breathe by just posting a website!!!!!
Earn $15,000 a day by reading emails!!!
Buy my ebook, "125,000 Ways To Get Rich Marketing Salt!"

Now I know these are exaggerations but the point is that while on paper you may be able to prove your claims, most do see these types of ads as exaggerations of the truth. Besides that these ads will not get you those good affiliates your are seeking. What these type of ads will get you are:

Curiosity seekers
Gullible People
Get Rich Quick Hopefuls

If you portray your business as a get rich quick scheme, then that is what you will get. People looking to get rich quick. Not exactly my idea of a good affiliate. Why? Because each person who fits into any of the above groups has their own reason for signing up none of which is to run a business. Most individuals like this sign up and do little if anything. When they realize that they're not going to get a free lunch most will opt out in a day or two. Those who remain will just ignore your emails. By the way. How would you like to go to a job interview and be told you will make $20.00 an hour. You work for 2 weeks only to find out that you have to work for the company 10 years before receiving that amount per hour. You would probably walk out the door feeling you were deceived. That is exactly what happens to people who answer ads loaded with hype. They feel as though they were deceived. .

Not only that but it can be costly to run an ad campaign that uses hype. Think of Pay Per Click advertising. Your are spending money on the clicks of those who are not interested in running a business. I would rather get one hit to my website a day from someone who will do what it takes to succeed then a million hits from people who want to get rich by the end of the day.

Rather have an ad campaign that focuses on what the average person can expect. Most people are in this category. An average person. So target your advertising as if everyone who reads it already understands the ins and outs of internet marketing. Portray your opportunity as one that will take years to reach it's full potential. Be honest and up front. Then you will get people signing up who are ready to build a business up over time. Remember. Get Rid Of The Hype. If the average person won't make $15,000 dollars a month then don't say they will. If the average person will probably make $1,000 a month then say that. What's wrong with making a $1,000 more a month then they had before. If you have been able to quit your job because of your affiliate program, prove it. If you can't offer up some type of proof, (copies of checks, real testimonials, etc...) then just keep it to yourself.

The point being made is this. Most people are already aware of the saying, "If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is." There are exceptions to this rule but for the most part it is a true statement. Now if you follow the advice given above you will probably see a significant drop in your website traffic. And also a drop in the amount of affiliates you are getting. But like I and so many others say. "It's not the quantity of the affiliates you are getting but the quality of the affiliates you get."

Leave the hype to those who want to brag about the amount of website traffic and affiliate sign ups they are getting. I'll take a big fat check over hype any time.

How to Profit from the Explosive Growth of the Internet

The Internet continues to grow at a phenomenal rate. There are about 700 times as many websites in existence today as there were in 1998. (Wow! If only my money would grow that fast!) There are currently over two billion websites on the Internet, and that figure is expected to continue growing.

Therein lies the opportunity for people to make money. Every one of those sites has to be hosted somewhere. Some of them are hosted for free by Internet Service Providers (ISP’s). But a very large number of them are hosted by companies that charge a fee for their hosting services. Many of those fee-based hosts offer affiliate programs.

An affiliate program allows you to refer customers to purchase a product or service that is provided by another company (the merchant). Each time one of your referrals makes a purchase from the merchant, you collect a commission.

You can take advantage of this by checking with your own web hosting company to see if they have an affiliate program. These programs are usually free to join so you have nothing to lose. Most web hosting affiliate programs will send you a percentage of the monthly sales that are generated by your efforts. If you send 100 people to the web host through your affiliate efforts and three of them open accounts paying ten dollars per month, you would receive a percentage of that $30 each month. If, over the course of a year, they opened 50 accounts through your efforts, you would earn a percentage of the $500 monthly amount. Each company has a different percentage that they pay their affiliates so the amount will vary from company to company. But wouldn’t it be nice to start receiving monthly checks instead of paying them?

If you are using free hosting through your ISP, or if you are unhappy with the service that your web host is providing, you can find hosting opportunities by doing a search for “affiliate hosting programs”. You will find page after page of affiliate programs for hosting companies. It is important that you do research before making a final selection. Do not base your decision solely on the amount of commission they pay. Narrow your search down to the top 5 candidates or so. Make sure they are reliable. One of the complaints that I hear most often has to do with web hosts whose sites go down frequently. Also, make sure that the site you recommend offers sufficient disk space and bandwidth. It is also important that they provide telephone support. If the site is down, web support is not much help.

To be successful with affiliate sales is hard work. You have to market the program and get visitors to the affiliate site. There are many free advertising methods that you can use. I suggest that you write articles, use blogs, free ezine ads, and forums. I recommend that you start out using these free methods. Then, if you decide that it is too much work, or you are not making any money, you can back out without losing any money.

Difference between affiliates and resellers

Every once in a while I get a vendor asking: "What's the difference between affiliates and resellers"? I couldn't find a reliable internet resource to support my usual answer about it, so I thought why not make an article of my own and see how well it goes in Google. So here we are. Actually the biggest issue doesn't come from choosing between resellers and affiliates, but mostly from vendors that are questioning the channel conflict that might happen between their resellers/distributors and the affiliates. The questions are especially important in the software industry where some of the sales techniques are shared by both resellers and affiliates. The fact is that we don't actually have a conflict because there are some fundamental differences between them. Not in a particular order:
Affiliates only do online sales and marketing.Resellers have a physical office, they answer phone calls from customers and they take care of invoicing & billing locally and maybe do some technical support as well. Sure, some buyers might get the product online from an affiliate and not from the reseller, but still, the reseller has a different target and this is offline local market. Actually, if you think about it, a buyer that wants to purchase online, he can anyway skip the reseller by buying directly from your site.
Resellers are better for custom solutions/big volume purchases or complex packages that also include services. I can't really see or imagine an affiliate doing corporate, academic or governmental sales, or the way they could provide related add-on services in local markets. Affiliates don't train sales/technical people and therefore they might not be able to compete with the resellers who have in-depth knowledge about your products.
Affiliates mean pre-selling, resellers do selling. Affiliates warm the site visitor and make him confident and willing to make the purchase on the vendor site. So basically, the vendor sells directly to the customer and makes a direct invoice to the purchaser. Resellers should do the sale on their own, they purchase bulk products from the vendor, then sell by retail to customers; the invoice they issue to customers on their account.

Before setting up any PPC campaign, we need to know exactly what the objective of the pay per click campaign is. If your website is selling online or looking to generate leads, choosing the right selection of keywords will be imperative to making your PPC marketing efforts a success.Let us use the travel industry as an example of how to choose a selection of terms. 3 Tops Reasons Why You Must Have Your Own Affiliate Marketing Website

Budding entrepreneurs entering the affiliate marketing business invariably struggle with many questions on the setup, methods and strategies of their new business.

In dealing with prospects on a daily basis the same question arises time and time again:

Should I get your own website? Do I need one? Will it make a difference to my affiliate sales?

If you have ever joined any affiliate programs at all then you will know that every affiliate program provides you with your own version of the merchants sales page - coded with your affiliate link, in order to track sales.

Technically it is possible to make money promoting this turnkey site that the merchant has provided. In my professional opinion and from my own experience though, this is NOT the way to go if you are serious about making your affiliate business a full-time enterprise.

Let me explain why - giving the most important points against using the affiliate website:

1. By far the most important factor is that the affiliate program can go out of business at anytime leaving any promotions that you have done for your affiliate site useless. If you have links on the www pointing to an affiliate page and the company is no longer in existence then those links will fail to work.

If you have your own website then YOU are in control. You can simply point the link on your end to a new company and thus give you a chance of building a new income stream.

2. It is undoubtedly of massive importance that you build your reputation online. If you only promote another persons website, even though it will bring you commissions, it will usually have the name of the product owner on this site. So, in this case, you are building the merchants' reputation and web presence instead of your own. Branding your name and business online will lead to further success so it's better to get YOUR name out there right from the very start.

3. Point 3 is, that with an affiliate page you don't have the ability to make changes to your webpage. Again, this is a business, so you MUST add your own uniqueness and some personality to the aspect of this business that you are presenting to the public. You CANNOT do this with the affiliate site that the merchant provides - ONLY with your own website and domain name.

So by now you may be asking for the solution. The only answer is to get a website and build YOUR own web presence and brand rather than someone elses. This way you can promote any affiliate programs you like from your new site AND you can change the links, content etc. as often as you require.

This is how I personally do it. If you visit my own sites you will see that I have added loads of my own content BUT each of the links from within that site point to affiliate product from which I will get a commission for evey sale that is made.

Do you see how this works? Do you see how it is a much better strategy than promoting an affiliate page that will NEVER belong to me?

Now, at this stage you may be terrified as to how you where you would even start to acquire your own business domain name and website.

The process is actually quite simple, once you actually begin to push through the fear and take action.

If you don't see the importance of having your own website now then believe me, it WILL become clear as you get a better understanding of online business.

For a few dollars per year for a domain name and hosting you are much better to have an affiliate website than be without one.

As with anything in life, those in the know will always get ahead. So when attempting to get ahead it is always about a search for knowledge. You know," I love the tip format." This article is a great example of the tips format. I listed eight tips and short advice on how to accomplish the tip. So, list out your tips and write a short paragraph of advice to explain the tip.

5. Top Ten List. A variation of the tips format is the top tips list. Your top tips list may consist of the Top Five, Top Ten, Top Seven or practically any number of ten or less. I have even written the single most important tip to …Sometimes, that one gets more attention than the other numbers, because it answers a desire in all of us that want it as easy as possible. It's great if I can achieve it in a single step or even the 2 most important ways sound better than three or seven.

6. How To. Just as we all want to achieve anything in the easiest way possible, we also like to be shown how to do anything and everything. If the searcher types a keyphrase including online dating in that order but as part of a bigger term like free online dating, it is credited to the 2nd keyword. And if both online and dating are present but not together and in that order, like online singles dating, it is credited to the 3rd keyword.

This improves the CTR for certain specific keywords and helps to lower your CPC and also improves your ad position.
2) Use a variable title

Did you know that your clickthrough rate (CTR) goes up when the searcher sees his keywords (that he searched for) in your ad? This is because Google shows these words in bold.

But you don't know what term this searcher has used. So how can you put the term in the title? Try this.

Put this string in the title field on the Adwords screen -

{KeyWord: Default Title} where you replace "Default Title" with a suitable text. Now Google will show the search term as the ad title if the searched term fits within the 25 character limit and your default title if the search term won't fit.

Example - say you use {KeyWord: Online Dating} as the title and dating as the keyword.

If someone searches for dating help, the shown title will be Dating Help. However if one searches for free online dating resources, Google will show Online Dating because the search term won't fit in the title space (25 characters).

Did you notice the capitalization? If you use Keyword, then only the first word would be capitalized. If you use keyword, all the letters will be in small case.

This tip alone can boost your CTR by 157% or more.
3) Variable destination URL

Did you know that Google now allows variable destination URLs? Why do you need that? Variable destination URL can help you identify the terms that the searchers are using and you can alter your page content to suit those terms for a much better conversion.

You've probably heard a lot about Google AdSense, but you may not know just what it is. Well, for one thing, it's a one of the hottest new ways to make money online without having to do a whole lot. To date, comparisons of AdWords rates with AdSense earnings add up to commissions of between 40% and 60%. People speculate all the time on user boards as to why Google refuses to publish its commission rates, but no one has the answer. Direct Mail - Getting You Envelope

If you use direct mail it's in your best interest to get as much of it opened and read as possible. You may have spent a small fortune on the copywriting and the expensively printed brochure, but if you don't ensure that as many packs are opened and read as possible, then both copy and brochure are wasted.

There are two main schools of thought on how to avoid being binned. The first is to use disguise, and the second to use persuasion.

Using disguise is mainly a business to business approach but it works for business to consumer mailings too. Business to business promotional mailings are marked out in that they don't appear to have been handled individually. This can be indicated by an envelope pre-printed with a postage mark, and use of a window or address labels to show an address.

Try one or more of the following to give the envelope a more individual look.

Use stamps. They have to have been put on by hand, so it must be individual. There's no more obvious an indicator than a pre-printed stamp impression. When a preprinted impression is used in conjunction with a window envelope it practically screams advertising so don't do it.

Hand write the address on the envelope. This is probably only viable for higher value items but will certainly get more attention this way. It doesn't have to be copperplate, it just needs to look as though it's been handled individually.

Use an unusual material for the envelope, say vellum or a textured paper. In tests conducted by a paper merchant, this alone increased responses significantly. The additional cost for the special paper was more than compensated for by the additional revenue generated by the mailing.

Again, do anything to make your mailing appear more individual and personal to the recipient. Probably the most important element is the use of stamps. This on it's own can be enough to get you under the recipient's radar.

Secondly, use persuasive tactics. This is completely the opposite from disguise and is used mainly for business to consumer, but again it works for business to business too. In this instance we mark it out specifically as commercial by using advertising images, copy and headlines on the outside of the envelope itself. In this instance it doesn't matter if you use a printed postal impression.

Unlike the previous method which uses curiosity to get your envelope opened, we need to give the recipient a good reason to open the envelope. This can take a variety of forms, but as a couple of examples you can state a benefit, "Increase sales by 15%", or alternatively provide an incentive, "Reply by the end of the month and get 2 for the price of 1".

Be very clear and very specific about what the contents are going to achieve and remember you are only trying to get the envelope opened and read. Avoid anything vague. Don't expect to appeal to everyone using this method. You don't have that much room on the envelope, and you can't be all things to all people.

Hopefully you will achieve a strong enough response in a small percentage of recipients that they open, and read the contents. Your persuasive copy will follow on logically from the envelope copy, and keep your prospect interested.

There is a lot of advise against this in business to business direct mail, and there is probably an element of truth in this. If you are mailing to an executive whose mail is screened then it's likely good advice. However there are plenty of owner/managers out there that still open their own mail, if the offer or benefit is clear enough and of interest, it will get opened. You may well consign your mailing piece to the bin for the 99.5% of your prospects by doing this, but it wasn't about them was it?

In summary it's pretty simple. Don't be run of the mill. Step away from the norm and make sure your envelope is overtly commercial with a clear benefit or incentive or alternatively make it look it personal. If you do this you are halfway to getting it read and that's more than half the battle.

Running a traditional brick and mortar kind of business with an online presence, is obviously one very good way to make at least part of your living online. But for the purposes of this article we are going to assume that you do not have your own business. So I am going to discuss two of the biggest online money makers right now: online business opportunities and affiliate marketing.

Network marketing

The typical online business opportunity is commonly built around some sort of network marketing concept, inheriting the basic qualities of the offline business model that has been available for many decades - the basic idea being that you recruit two or more people, who in their turn recruit two and in this way your efforts will (at least in theory) be greatly leveraged.

The main difference doing this online is that, utilizing the power of the Internet, you as a network marketer can literally reach people all over the planet.

You are sitting at your desk, reading your email and open the latest missive from your boss. Once again the bonehead has come up with a new direction for your company. You clear your throat and ask the person next to you “Have you seen what the idiot has sent us now?.” In the cafeteria you sit with your co-workers grossing about how stupid this company is. But this doesn’t just happen today. Everyday you find yourself at odds with the management. And while you have always been a “good soldier” and done exactly what was asked of you, you can’t help but let your feelings be known.

Or perhaps you are the more silent type. Sighing, rolling your eyes, and simply showing through your body language that you are greatly put upon.

You might think that if you are really good at your job, and you do everything that has been asked of you that you will remain, in the eyes of your employer, a valuable member of the team.

However, in these times of cutbacks, more and more employers are considering the “grump factor.” Simply put, the grump factor is a measure of how difficult it is to deal with an employee. How grumpy you are.

Recently a Fortune 500 company had to make a 20% cut in their workforce. The management chose the people that were going to be laid off. Every single employee was a hard worker, in fact some off them were the best at what they did. Each employee tried to figure out why THEY were chosen? What was the reason that the more incompetent employees were left standing while they were let go? Was it that they earned more money? Was it a personal vendetta against them? Was it sexism or ageism? Each employee failed to look at where the blame lay. Which was at their own feet. In a discussion with the management they stated that they used the “grump factor.” Employees that had a bad attitude were considered expendable.

Obviously when it comes time to downsize many factors are considered. But more and more employers want to work with people who are easy to deal with.(use mr rogers here) Employees who love what they do, and show others that they love it. I am not talking about a saccharin sweet phony attitude, I mean a sincere joy.

This can also be the easiest way to lose money fast if you don't know what your doing. The best resource to learn about using google to make money online in my opinion is Google Cash. Another great source of information is Adwords Miracle. Now I would like to share some tips for getting the most out of google adwords.

1. Start off keeping bids very low. Better to have fewer clicks and sales than to lose a lot of money.

2. Turn off content match. It doesn't convert to sales well. If you do decide to have content match on keep content bids very low (1/3 of search bids or less).

3. Keep daily budgets low. I recommend $5 a day at most starting a campaign to see if it will be profitable.

4. Instead of advertising on google everywhere think about targeting certain countries. It saved me a lot of money once I started targeting my ads to certain countries.

5. Break your ads up into small groups and make separate ads for simaler keywords.

6. Put [brackets] around your keywords. You will get fewer clicks but your keywords will get matched exactly by google. If you don't use brackets you ads could show up for keywords you might not want google to match on.

7. Test different ads. Google will give preference to ads that get clicked more often and the ads will get clicked more will cost less per click. Keep the ads that do well and the ones with low clickthrough rates should be deleted.

8. Your keywords should be well chosen and specific. General keywords like music will get you a lot of traffic but won't convert to sales as well as specific keywords.

9. You can have google place your keywords right in your ad titles for you automatically. It's called dynamic keyword insertion. Basically when you make your ad title you type in {keyword:default}. In place of default you put a title to use when your keywords are too long for google to put in. Dynamic keyword insertion is a powerful tool that will get more clickthroughs for your ads and higher conversions to sales. The only drawback of dynamic keyword insertion is that the price per click increases.

10. If your clickthrough rates on your ad campaigns aren't at least 1% I would recommend changing the ad or deleting certain keywords in the ad group with a low clickthrough rate. The higher your clickthrough rate the better your ad is performing and ad costs will be less.

11. The more you can think like people who are searching for the products you are promoting the better you will be able to make your ads and keywords.

12. The tricky part of adwords is that you want your ads to stand out and get people to click on them but at the same time there are also people you don't want clicking your ads. First thing you want to discourage are "freebie seekers". These people will click your ads thinking they will get something for free and will never buy anything from your ads. To discourage freebie seekers I recommend doing 2 things. First of all you the word free should not be put in an ad. Secondly you should put the price of the the product you are promoting in the ad, preferably right in the title. This will drive up your per click costs and give you less traffic but you will get the traffic that's more serious about buying the product your'e marketing.

13. Whenever possible ad campaign performance should be tracked to see how your ads and keywords are performing. Google provides a publisher id number that can be used with many affiliate programs. When you include your publisher id in the url that you send your traffic to you will get back inportant information such as which keywords are getting the sales, what your sales conversion ratio is and cost per sale. this ad tracking information can be used to increase profits on your campaigns by allowing you to delete keywords that don't make any sales.

14. I've found that advertising on google exclusively and not on the entire google network has brought the greatest return on my campaigns.

Not because it is searched more often, but also because most people who are also selling the same product will only select a few general keywords which may be very broad keywords.

When you bid on Google, you will not always pay the price you enter. The price you enter is the MCPC (Maximum Cost Per Click) you are willing to pay for that keyword. Have you ever done a Google Adwords campaign and received this message – "Increase quality or bid $5.00 to activate"? It's disheartening, isn't it?

Why do you think Google sent that message in the first place. Adword Campaigns are a huge profit center for Google. They know that PPC ads that deliver the most relevancy for any given subject will be clicked on more often – and cha-ching – they make more money. Therefore, they evaluate the importance of your adword campaign by the relevance of your placements (perceived relevancy in this case) to the selected adwords (as discussed in my earlier Marketing Insight ezine). If Google feels that your ad does not relate to the keyword – it de-activates it. What the search engine giant is really saying is that, if you don't know how to use Google Adwords, you should pay 3-10 times more till you figure it out! So, how do you deal with this?

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO: Google literally makes fortunes from people who are soooo desperate to have their ad shown on that keyword that they agree to the given price no matter how high. Rolling over and paying this increase is a huge mistake and will cost you dearly. Your lead cost for that keyword can go up by 500 percent!

Here are two far better options you can try:

1.Start by removing the keyword from the adword campaign and put it in another group of ads that are more closely related to the keywords you selected; or create an ad group campaign that has the keyword in the headline. You need to group related keywords together within the campaign so they make sense.

Following are examples of titles Google doesn't ike, vs titles they do like. Let's say the keywords selected are: "Home Business", "Earn Money", "Online Business", "Make Money Fast"

• INCORRECT KEYWORDS GROUPING – A less relevant ad would read: "Make $20,000/mo From Home". Even though the ad might be good, the keywords in the title are too different from the keywords selected so they don't match the ad, therefore your ad is perceived irrelevant and is deactivated. (this ad would fit keywords such as "Make Money From Home")

• CORRECT KEYWORDS GROUPING – A better approach is to set up 3 separate ad groups for the above keywords and employ related, similar keywords in the titles. One group could focus on – "Home Business", "Home Based Business", "Business from Home", etc. – Examples of ads that that are relevant are – "Best Home Based Business" or "$1,000/Day-Home Business" (some of the keywords are in the title)

Then create another ad group for each of the other keywords such as – "Earn Money", "Earn Money from Home", "Earn Extra Money", etc. Your next ad group would include some if not all keywords in the title like – "Earn Money Fast", "Earn Money While Sleeping" "Earn $3,000/Day", etc.

The bottom-line is, when you have the keywords matching the selection of words used in your ad, and your keywords appear in the headline, your ad will rarely be deactivated.

Following this principle, you just accomplished two things…not only will you not have to pay the higher price, but more likely, your cpc will drop even lower than what you paid before they asked you to increase your bid. Plus, your click rate is even higher because the ad is more relevant, which will lower your CostPerClick price.

2.) The second option is to just delete the keyword for a few days and put it back up. Most likely, you'll be back to the original bid price when you re-post it.

Learning to understand Google Adwords will save you (or make you) lots of money. It rewards you for relevancy and will charge you extra for generality. How about listening to what I discovered that has literally changed my life during the last month and will certainly change yours as well ? Well, I cant keep such an info to myself, I have to let it out , I have to share it with all marketers or non marketers, experienced or newbies. And I suggest you do the same .

For the last 6 years I have read more than 50 books on email marketing , listbuilding, advertising, traffic generating, web-business developing, web-advertising, article writing, google adsense tricks, google adwords tactics, blogs and ping, social marketing websites, SEO techniques and everything there is as well as hundreds of e-books others purchased and others offered for free as bonuses to software or digital info products I paid for.

Well, I don't complain for all this wealth of information, but although you'd guess I'd be a web-marketing genius by now, till one month ago I was a BIG NOBODY, a ROUND ZERO, or maybe a MINUS , because I had paid for Google Adwords , e-books and books a small fortune and all I had got in return were a few dollars here and a few there.

These "gems" have been spinning in my head all the time and have been my "filtering criteria" of what I had to cope with and how I should do it. But still, although applying online marketing techniques and approaches to my offline businesses, worked EXTREMELY FINE, I repeatedly failed to create an automated business online, even after having set up more than 15 websites of my own.

Trying to locate the reasons of my inertia, I realized that I was suffering from info-overload, and although I had all pieces of the puzzle in my mind, I still needed a SYSTEM a step by step guide which would help me put them together in a way that would enable me to get optimum results in minimum time and with minimum effort.

A WEB-MARKETING GUIDE and a SYSTEM which will give us the basics to an online business we're more apt to, is essential and once we realize it, our share of web-profits is there for us to take it. But nothing will come alone without us lifting a finger. Yes, automation power is there only after you've sweated a river and have your eyes turned red from countless trials and errors till you set up the website, write a compelling sales copy, set your auto-responders, pick up the right product to promote, or write your own and have it properly compiled edited and secured. Not to mention the endless hours till you get acquainted with the right websites that offer you high exposure potential and those who will actually be your key-partners on your way to success.

And the main ENEMY of yours will be procrastination, distraction, sidetracking … My "handcrafts" website is a typical example of a great idea and a nice project in the hands of a "I know how to do it, but I'll do it when I'm ready for it" loser. This website (* I can't mention its domain here for reasons you can understand) would have been a "killer" in its own niche market should I had done 2 years ago what I always had in my mind but DIDN'T APPLY SO FAR. Maybe you should face your mistakes like I did when i came to realize that i had wasted precious time doing nothing to nurture, sustain my online business and help it grow. Never is too late for a new beginning.

Conclusively, I'd like to advise you to use your common sense and treat your online business like an offline one. A big offline business. I would urge you to tap in the numbers' power which is offered to you on the web. How many customers would visit your offline business in a day : 3, 30, 300 ? Through the web your products or services are available to millions. All you need is a couple of thousand visitors on a daily basis, turning 20-50 of them into buyers . Believe me both can happen in a few days time. Just find a SYSTEM like the one I recommend on my website, and STICK TO IT. Don't quit till you put everything together as presented step by step. Assuming you were going to make a cake using a recipe a friend gave you. Would you follow a few steps and then quit? Would you improvise? Or would you apply with absolute precision EVERY SINGLE STEP described on the recipe? Well, web-marketing results not to a cake but to the life of your dreams.

Following one by one ALL THE STEPS as advised and systematically is so rewarding that goes far beyond your wildest dreams. Start to love thinking and enjoy thinking for yourself. Analysis and synthesis , the two components of critical thinking will bring you closer to your dreams' realization. And so will motivation and visualization. There is a "trick" I've invented in order to align myself with my primary aims and achieve an efficient level of visualization. Once every month I pretend writing an email to my best friend who lives to another city, by sending her an email - sending myself an email- with "MY LIFE's JOURNAL" describing things I want to experience as if they have already happened. In this "JOURNAL" I am the celebrity and I am to be admired and envied for all I am and all I have and do. Put this exercise in your weekly or monthly routine. You'll be amazed by the results.

If biggest truths lie just under our nose, why don't you try to see things from a different perspective. You'll soon discover solutions that were lying right under your nose. And so is the one I suggest to you.
