Direct Mail - Getting You Envelope

by: Robert Wilkinson

If you use direct mail it's in your best interest to get as much of it opened and read as possible. You may have spent a small fortune on the copywriting and the expensively printed brochure, but if you don't ensure that as many packs are opened and read as possible, then both copy and brochure are wasted.

There are two main schools of thought on how to avoid being binned. The first is to use disguise, and the second to use persuasion.

Using disguise is mainly a business to business approach but it works for business to consumer mailings too. Business to business promotional mailings are marked out in that they don't appear to have been handled individually. This can be indicated by an envelope pre-printed with a postage mark, and use of a window or address labels to show an address.

Try one or more of the following to give the envelope a more individual look.

Use stamps. They have to have been put on by hand, so it must be individual. There's no more obvious an indicator than a pre-printed stamp impression. When a preprinted impression is used in conjunction with a window envelope it practically screams advertising so don't do it.

Hand write the address on the envelope. This is probably only viable for higher value items but will certainly get more attention this way. It doesn't have to be copperplate, it just needs to look as though it's been handled individually.

Use an unusual material for the envelope, say vellum or a textured paper. In tests conducted by a paper merchant, this alone increased responses significantly. The additional cost for the special paper was more than compensated for by the additional revenue generated by the mailing.

Again, do anything to make your mailing appear more individual and personal to the recipient. Probably the most important element is the use of stamps. This on it's own can be enough to get you under the recipient's radar.

Secondly, use persuasive tactics. This is completely the opposite from disguise and is used mainly for business to consumer, but again it works for business to business too. In this instance we mark it out specifically as commercial by using advertising images, copy and headlines on the outside of the envelope itself. In this instance it doesn't matter if you use a printed postal impression.

Unlike the previous method which uses curiosity to get your envelope opened, we need to give the recipient a good reason to open the envelope. This can take a variety of forms, but as a couple of examples you can state a benefit, "Increase sales by 15%", or alternatively provide an incentive, "Reply by the end of the month and get 2 for the price of 1".

Be very clear and very specific about what the contents are going to achieve and remember you are only trying to get the envelope opened and read. Avoid anything vague. Don't expect to appeal to everyone using this method. You don't have that much room on the envelope, and you can't be all things to all people.

Hopefully you will achieve a strong enough response in a small percentage of recipients that they open, and read the contents. Your persuasive copy will follow on logically from the envelope copy, and keep your prospect interested.

There is a lot of advise against this in business to business direct mail, and there is probably an element of truth in this. If you are mailing to an executive whose mail is screened then it's likely good advice. However there are plenty of owner/managers out there that still open their own mail, if the offer or benefit is clear enough and of interest, it will get opened. You may well consign your mailing piece to the bin for the 99.5% of your prospects by doing this, but it wasn't about them was it?

In summary it's pretty simple. Don't be run of the mill. Step away from the norm and make sure your envelope is overtly commercial with a clear benefit or incentive or alternatively make it look it personal. If you do this you are halfway to getting it read and that's more than half the battle.

Network Vs. Affiliate Marketing

by: Andreas Sundstrom

Running a traditional brick and mortar kind of business with an online presence, is obviously one very good way to make at least part of your living online. But for the purposes of this article we are going to assume that you do not have your own business. So I am going to discuss two of the biggest online money makers right now: online business opportunities and affiliate marketing.

Network marketing

The typical online business opportunity is commonly built around some sort of network marketing concept, inheriting the basic qualities of the offline business model that has been available for many decades - the basic idea being that you recruit two or more people, who in their turn recruit two and in this way your efforts will (at least in theory) be greatly leveraged.

The main difference doing this online is that, utilizing the power of the Internet, you as a network marketer can literally reach people all over the planet.

The problem with the network marketing, or "mlm", concept is that it sounds so good on paper - way too good in fact. Most people who joins up with a company of this type tend to get a dose of Mr. Reality rather soon.

They discover that recruiting new people, which is what all mlm is all about - even if they try to tell you differently - is not at all a simple process. There has been plenty of fraudulent businesses in this niche, and people tend to stay on their toes as soon as they hear the words mlm or network marketing.

To further complicate things this business model is also based on you paying a set monthly fee - wether you make any money or not, which means that many people who start this kind of business actually end up loosing money.

It is definitely possible to make a good living in network marketing, but it is definitely not for everybody. "Getting in on the ground floor" is allegedly not always as good as it seems.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is similar to network marketing, in the sense that you will be promoting a product produced by another company or person. This can obviously make life very simple for you, as the merchant will usually take care of all shipping and customer support issues. Amazon.com is probably one of the most well known (an respected) companies utilizing the power of affiliate partnerships.

As an affiliate, your task is simply to refer new clients to the merchant and when these people go ahead and buy something, you get credited with a certain percentage of the sale.

Contrary to network marketing it is generally free to act as an affiliate marketer. Although there are certain companies that have sort of a hybrid structure between network and affiliate marketing - requiring you to pay a start-up and/or monthly fee to market their products. Most affiliate programs are completely free to join though, so I'd personally stay away from those using their affiliate programs as an income generator in it's own right, or "affiliate sharks" as one marketer aptly named them.

Affiliate programs are thus a great way in which almost anyone can start to make money online, without having to invest a lot of money, if indeed any at all.

There is however certain strategies and marketing methods you need to be knowledgeable of, if you are to make anything but peanuts with your affiliate marketing.

Choosing the right affiliate program and promoting it to the right people in the right way is an art form in it's own right. And the people who are really good at this, generally referred to as "super affiliates", make a very good living doing nothing else than selling other people's products.

If you are looking to make an additional income from the Internet, or eventually even replace your current income altogether, affiliate marketing is a great way to get started. To achieve the success you desire, you should study and learn the same techniques super affiliates use on a day to day basis.

How To Take The First Steps With Autoresponders

by: Ian Simpson

One of the most effective forms of low-cost Internet marketing is using email to reach a targeted audience. Whilst email marketing has undergone changes over the years, in particular, the outlawing of spam email, it still has great appeal and is one of the most widely-used internet marketing techniques. It's quite simply the best way to keep in touch with your customers on a regular basis on autopilot. Providing you respect the spam laws and use email properly, you will have a trouble free email marketing business.

Email marketing is more commonly associated with the use of an autoresponder service which allows you to import your email messages into the autoresponder and send them out to your customers at a fixed date and time - you could have a series of messages sent over a period of weeks, months or even years, if you wanted. The exciting thing is that once the autoresponder has been set up, that part of your business will run hands free, allowing you to concentrate on other important things.

The costs associated with an autoresponder vary considerably from free up to $100 a month. Try to avoid free autoresponders where possible, although they are free they come at a price! The price being the restrictions on usage and the fact that they will nearly always carry an advert of some sort on your message which can distract your recipient from the real reason why they have received the message. Also, it isn't necessary to pay a silly price for an autoresponder, big companies may want to pay top price because they can afford to but as an individual, you do not need to. Excellent, cost effective autoresponder services can be obtained from aweber.com or getresponse.com. These are web based programs so they will work for you 24/7.

You could of course, use a desktop based autoresponder such as Mailloop. This type of program is a software application that is installed on your computer and it allows you to manage your email campaigns from your desktop. You just have to be aware that you will need to leave your computer running all the time or else you will not be able to receive or send emails automatically. But it's a great way to have a series of autoresponders for a one time payment and no recurring fees.

So, having decided on using autoresponders for your email business, what do you do with one? Well, building up a customer database should be a priority so initially you will want to create a form for your website that allows potential subscribers to insert their details and when they agree to subscribe, they are automatically enrolled onto an email course that you will have loaded into the autoresponder. The course can as long as you want it to be and sent automatically over a period of time - this is where the automation of your email business will come into its own. It is essential that any information that you send to your subscribers is of value and instructive. It's no good sending rubbish, you will lose your subscriber quicker than you got him! Quality email courses that you could use can be found in the Turbomembership.com.

If you offered a 14-day email course on internet marketing for example, then you could provide links to various marketing ebooks or resources. In each email would be a link to a different ebook. Of course each link would have your unique affiliate code. The unique Turbomembership.com affiliate program provides quality marketing ebooks and software scripts that you can re-sell at 95% commission.

This is just one of the many ways that you can use autoresponders in your email marketing business. Finding and using the right autoresponder service, setting up your autoresponder and loading it with quality information is just the tip of the iceburg where marketing is concerned. But it's a good place to start and gain the necessary experience for future marketing projects.

The Grump Factor

by: Laurie Brown

You are sitting at your desk, reading your email and open the latest missive from your boss. Once again the bonehead has come up with a new direction for your company. You clear your throat and ask the person next to you “Have you seen what the idiot has sent us now?.” In the cafeteria you sit with your co-workers grossing about how stupid this company is. But this doesn’t just happen today. Everyday you find yourself at odds with the management. And while you have always been a “good soldier” and done exactly what was asked of you, you can’t help but let your feelings be known.

Or perhaps you are the more silent type. Sighing, rolling your eyes, and simply showing through your body language that you are greatly put upon.

You might think that if you are really good at your job, and you do everything that has been asked of you that you will remain, in the eyes of your employer, a valuable member of the team.

However, in these times of cutbacks, more and more employers are considering the “grump factor.” Simply put, the grump factor is a measure of how difficult it is to deal with an employee. How grumpy you are.

Recently a Fortune 500 company had to make a 20% cut in their workforce. The management chose the people that were going to be laid off. Every single employee was a hard worker, in fact some off them were the best at what they did. Each employee tried to figure out why THEY were chosen? What was the reason that the more incompetent employees were left standing while they were let go? Was it that they earned more money? Was it a personal vendetta against them? Was it sexism or ageism? Each employee failed to look at where the blame lay. Which was at their own feet. In a discussion with the management they stated that they used the “grump factor.” Employees that had a bad attitude were considered expendable.

Obviously when it comes time to downsize many factors are considered. But more and more employers want to work with people who are easy to deal with.(use mr rogers here) Employees who love what they do, and show others that they love it. I am not talking about a saccharin sweet phony attitude, I mean a sincere joy.

When Barbara Walters is asked by young people “What do I have to do to get ahead?”

She tells them “Don’t complain, don’t whine. Just make yourself so good that they cannot let you go. And don’t be afraid to get the coffee if they ask you to get the coffee.”

Not sure if you’re being perceived as a grump, take this simple test.

Do you find yourself very easily identifying problems with your company and/or co workers?

Do you share that information with others? (including family, friends , co-workers)

Do you discount possible solutions as unworkable?

Is your criticism a validation of your over all perspective?

Do you often hear others with similar complaints?

Do you lend a willing ear to their complaints?

Do you sigh, roll your eyes or otherwise display your negative feelings using body language or tone of voice?

Are your creating less because of your displeasure?

Are you late to work or meetings?

Do you resent helping others finish their work?

Are you waiting for a change to happen?

Has anyone pointed out your negative behavior?

Do you have “good reasons” to be unhappy at work?

This is a family. You spend more time here than you do at home. Low maintenance easy

1. I like to have people who are low maintenance easy to get along with each other

2. All residents have gone through med school

3. all have high test scores

4. all have good letters from their hospitals

How to overcome being a grump

Begin with a simple act of gratitude. No matter what your religious or secular background you need to find a daily way to express your gratitude for what you have. Start a “gratitude journal”

Power of Learning = Earning!

by: Damon Smith

Everyone in online marketing or affiliate earning for a income have to research all over the internet to get the information they need to succeed.

I have seen people spend hours, days, weeks, months & even years just to come out making little or no income at all. As a publisher online for HaileysComet Weekly I have met some of the most powerful people that have made thousands even millions of dollars with the time they have been online.

Some have done it in as little as a few months and then retired, Then you have those that work very hard every day no matter how much they make to help others to do the same. Remember when the doublers programs hit the internet and people made hundreds even thousands over night? Do you remember what happen within two months of them hitting the internet, People that was dealing with StormPay was stuck holding a empty bag because they went under and all kinds of trouble broke out.

The only true programs that make money are ones that last, There are very few of them, One that has made it to the top because of the people behind the program is Success University, Not because they have specials all the time but because there are REAL people to talk with an to learn from. I have met with people that joined the so called PAS program and paid out $3,900!

and most of them did not get anything from it an do you know why? Because there was no one to teach them how to market the program to make a profit an ended up getting burnt!

Look at this link, http://www.damonday.net

If you take the time to read it you will not only see that this group of master marketers are online to help you make a living online but also to teach you how to talk with others in a way to make them buy from you and learn to work together as a team.

Success University is just what the name stands for, They have been online for quite sometime, My own companys that I own depend on the things that I learn online.. I would only suggest something that I know myself to work to my own list of people that I work with instead of something that is gone the next day.

My own list of people in my newsletter trust me because they all know over the past 9 years that when I have something to tell them it is only the truth and not something that will brake their bank accounts. I have been called "The Howard Stern" of publishing and my newsletter is in most of the biggest Co-Ops and directories and also forums. The reason for my success is because of people like Damon Day (It is funny we both have the same first names)

But a "FLY BY NIGHT" company Success University is not, it is backed by some of the biggest companys there are and it is not just for people that are into affiliate marketing but also for people that are just starting out online and dont want to loose alot of money. I will tell you from the start that it takes money to make it, But this is one company that can take your funds and turn it into something to be proud of. Right now they are running a $2 14 day trial offer, and the monthly cost is less then a night on the town so dont miss out on something that will give you everything you need to earn online.

So take 5 minutes of your time and just look, It will suprise you to see what some people will do to help others instead of just thinking of themself and what they can get out of people that dont know any better.

Example: http://www.damonday.net

If you talk with Damon tell him that I sent you to him so that he will know that after everything we have been through I still believe there are good people online!

To your Success!

Why you need Ecommerce Website Design

By: Groshan Fabiola

If you sell products online, an online credit card payment processing system is essential for your business. Even if your product is unique, you will miss many sales if you don't process credit cards online. Nowadays, buyers don't want to print off a form and mail you a cheque. They want your product and they want it now.
An effective ecommerce website design can increase your online business substantially. However, there is a lot more to it than just taking orders. You will need to set up a shopping cart on your website. Besides a shopping cart, you will also need an internet-ready merchant account.
To get a merchant account, you can either go to your bank or to a third party payment processor. The third party credit card processor handles payments by credit card and sends payment to the business owner, less their processing fees. Some popular third party credit card payment processors are Paypal, ClickBank and 2Checkout.

An effective ecommerce website must answer the following customer’s questions:
* Does the website look professional and attractive?
* Is the shopping process easy?
* Is it optimized for search engines?
* Is it easy for buyers to find products easily?
* Does it include an option to search products?
* Does it build trust in the company?
* Can they checkout easily?

Online buyers need to be able to find your products easily and trust you to deliver the goods. Your ecommerce website design should instill confidence and entice shoppers to buy your products. Include benefits of the products to persuade shoppers to buy.

Does your ecommerce website design encourage repeat customers? Return shoppers are the key to your success. Online store owners who have a positive shopping experience will get repeat customers.

Create an ecommerce website design that maximizes online sales. This means ensuring every aspect of your customers' online shopping experience is satisfactory. Make your ecommerce website easy to navigate and informative enough to enable buyers to make decisions quickly and buy your products.

Internet Marketing with an E Newsletter

By: John Ugoshowa

One very popular Internet marketing strategy is to publish and distribute an e-newsletter on a regular basis. E-newsletters are essentially emails which may contain content, graphics, links and subtle forms of advertising. In general e-newsletters should be informative in nature and useful to the recipient but should also serve some type of marketing purpose as well. This article will examine e-newsletters and explain how they can be used effectively as a marketing strategy.

The first item to consider when attempting using an e-newsletter as a marketing strategy is the distribution list for the e-newsletter. This is very important because you want to ensure you are distributing your e-newsletter to recipients who will be interested in your products and services and will likely view the e-newsletter as worthwhile instead of viewing it as spam. Using deceptive tactics to harvest email addresses and sending out your e-newsletters blindly to a large audience is not a good marketing strategy. This strategy is not worthwhile for a couple of reasons. Most importantly this type of strategy does not help you to reach your target audience. You may reach some members of your target audience by accident but are not likely to reach a large population of this intended audience.

Additionally, sending your e-newsletter unsolicited to a large audience with no interest in your products and services will likely result in your e-newsletter being viewed as spam. This can have more serious consequences than simply being a wasted effort. Specifically, recipients of your e-newsletter may block your email address or even report you to their Internet service provider as a spammer. This can have damaging consequences such as loss of business or even harsher penalties.

A better way to establish a distribution list for your e-newsletter is to set up a forum for interested potential customers to register to receive additional information from you. This could include registering with your website online and requesting to be added to your email distribution list or providing an email address and requesting additional information in some other manner. Sending your e-newsletter to recipients who have specifically requested more information is a good idea because these Internet users are already interested in your products and are likely to appreciate the e-newsletter instead of viewing it as spam.

The content of your e-newsletter should be considered next. This may include the actual copy contained within the e-newsletter as well as graphics, links and advertisements. Keeping direct advertising to a minimum is ideal but it is acceptable to use soft advertising techniques to promote your products or services. The copy in your e-newsletter should insightful information which will be useful to your readers. You may wish to include objective articles, product reviews or shorter articles containing useful tips. Links to your own website or to other websites which might be of use to your target audience can also be included. These links may come in the form of direct advertisements or the links may be embedded in the copy of the e-newsletter when appropriate.

If you plan to utilize an e-newsletter to promote your products or services, you should consider hiring an experienced writer to create the content for your website. This will help to ensure you are providing your readers with top quality content. Likewise if you intend to include graphics you should have a graphic designer assist you to ensure your e-newsletter looks professionally put together.

The Inside Secret to Why Network Marketing will ALWAYS work!

By: Deagan Smith

Some people believe that network marketing really doesn't work. To put it lightly, they're WRONG. I am going to take the next few minutes to explain to you why network marketing will always work so that the next time someone takes the time to tell you that network marketing doesn't work you explain to them how misinformed they truly are.

Here is why Network Marketing will ALWAYS work:

Even in a strong economy people will ALWAYS need supplemental income:

The truth is most people live pay check to pay check. They aren't able to buy the nice things that they want for themselves and their families. There is and will always be a constant DEMAND for more money. Network marketing is a simple, part time and low risk way for full time workers to fill this need. To put it simply, as long as people need money network marketing will ALWAYS be there to fill that need.

People will ALWAYS want freedom from jobs they don't enjoy:

Despite what you may think, there are people out there that truly don't enjoy their job. They go to work because they have to and not because they want to. Network marketing offers a promise of true financial freedom. The ability to leave the 9 to 5 working world. This freedom will ALWAYS be to tempting to pass up.

People will ALWAYS want more free time to do with as they please:

Did you know in a past poll conducted by Money magazine that 64% of American men and 68% of American women polled said that if they had a choice between more money and more time off they would choose the time? People covet their free time. Network marketing offers the promise of working from home and making your own hours. Again, the opportunity to create free time will ALWAYS draw people to network marketing.

Conclusion:

As long as people crave time, moeny and freedom network marketing will ALWAYS exist.

The next time that someone tries to tell you that network marketing doesn't work you know that they couldn't be more wrong.

All you have to is ask your accuser 1 of 3 questions:

Do you want more money? Do you want freedom from your job? Do you want more time?

I guarantee they will answer yes to one of these questions. When they do they will have proved exactly why network marketing will always work!

Tracking the Results of Internet Marketing

By: John Ugoshowa

As with any marketing campaign you may run to assist your business, it is important to track the results of your Internet marketing campaign. This should be done on a continual basis so you can ensure the strategies you are utilizing are working. It can also help you to determine when a strategy is not working so you do not continue to invest time and money on a strategy which is not beneficial to your business. This article will discuss some of the options for tracking the results of your Internet marketing campaign.

Business owners who use banner ads have a simple way to track whether or not their banner ads are effective. This is possible because they can place code in the banner ad which will supply them with feedback each time a user clicks on the banner ad. This information is transmitted to the business owner so he can evaluate which of his banner ads are generating the most interest. If the business owner is currently using two different styles of banner ads on comparable websites he can use this information to determine which design is most effective. This is important because if one style is significantly more effective than the other it might be worthwhile to convert all of the banner ads to this style or to make changes which will make the two different styles more similar.

If the business owner is using the same banner ad on a number of different websites, the feedback can help him determine which websites are generating the most traffic for him. If he determines some websites are not generating a great deal of traffic it makes sense to discontinue the banner ads on these websites as they are not cost effective.

Business owners who utilize affiliate marketing during their Internet marketing campaign may also be interested in tracking the results of their affiliates. This is necessary because affiliates are often paid according to the results they generate but it is also useful for determining which affiliates are most successful. This information can be useful if different ads are running on different affiliate websites because it can be an indication of which websites are most effective. Tracking the results of affiliate marketing is similar to tracking the results of banner ads. You can place code in the ads which appear on the affiliate’s website to provide you with feedback each time a user clicks on the ad.

Another way to evaluate the results of an Internet marketing campaign is to simply closely monitor your own website traffic and sales. This is especially important when it is done in consideration with the type of marketing you are currently running. For example if you launch a new banner ad campaign with ads appearing on numerous high profile websites concurrently, you may notice an almost immediate increase in website traffic and sales. This information most likely indicates the banner ads are successful.

However, the problem with using this type of evaluation is it does not pinpoint successes or failures. If you launch your banner ad on five different websites at once you may notice an immediate increase in traffic and sales but will not be aware which websites are the most effective. For example, your advertisement may be running on five different websites but only one of these websites may be attracting attention for your business. Similarly if you are running several different styles of ads, some styles may attract more attention than others but you will not be able to differentiate simply by evaluating your website traffic and sales. The other four may only be generating minimal interest in your products or services. If you wish to use this method for evaluating the feedback on your Internet marketing efforts, it is worthwhile to only make one change at a time so you can more accurately determine what is working and what is not. Alternatively you can ask customers to fill out a survey stating where they saw your advertisement so you can solicit feedback on your marketing efforts.

The Importance of SEO in Internet Marketing

By: John Ugoshowa

If you are already running an Internet marketing campaign or are about to embark on an Internet marketing campaign, one concept you cannot afford to skimp on is search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is one of the most popular buzz words in Internet marketing but unfortunately most Internet marketers simply do not know enough about SEO to make this strategy work for them. Even those who are knowledgeable about SEO may have difficulty executing their SEO strategies to produce the desired affect.

Advertising is a very important part of running any type of business. You need to advertise to reach new customers and market your products or services. Whether you run your business online or not you probably already realize how important it is to advertise but if you are running your business online you should understand there is a great deal of free advertising available in the form of optimal search engine rankings.

Well known search engines such as Google rank websites according to complex algorithms which are designed to determine which websites are most relevant for particular search terms. Therefore taking the time and effort to optimize your website for relevant search terms may result in you being rewarded with high search engine rankings for these terms. This is important because most Internet users rely heavily on these rankings. It is not uncommon for Internet users to only review the first few results when they search for a particular term. This means if your website ranks high enough to appear on the first page of the search results you will likely enjoy increased website traffic. However, if your website doesn’t make it to the first page or even the second page, it is unlikely you will receive a great deal of website traffic from visitors who use search engines.

Now that you understand why search engine rankings are so important you might wonder how to achieve these rankings. The easiest way to optimize your website is to hire a SEO specialist to do the work for you. The world of SEO is complex and continually evolving making it difficult for most business owners who do not specialize in SEO to keep up with the changes in the industry. Therefore, business owners who attempt to optimize their website by themselves may have difficulty keeping up with competitors who hire a SEO consultant to optimize their website.

The algorithms used by search engines can be rather complex and include a number of different factors. Some of the common factors in the equation include keyword density, META tags, titles, inbound links, website traffic and content.

Keyword density refers to the number of times a particular keyword is used in the content of your website. The theory behind this concept is that website which use a keyword often are likely extremely relevant to that keyword, however, overuse of that keyword may result in penalties to the website if the search engine deemed the keywords are not being used appropriately.

META tags are pieces of HTML code which some search engines use in evaluating the content of a website. Placing keywords in these tags can be beneficial in some search engines. However, care should be taken to avoid placing irrelevant keywords in these tags as this may result in your website being penalized.

Inbound links are also used by some search engines to rank websites. Inbound links refer to links on other websites which point to your website. In evaluating the worth of these inbound links, some search engines consider the rank of the website providing the link to your website. This means you should ensure the website providing inbound links to your website are high ranking websites to receive the most benefit from these links.

Finally, the content on your website can do a great deal to bolster your search engine rankings. Most SEO firms retain a staff of writers who are skilled at providing quality content which is also optimized for relevant keywords. If you hire a SEO firm who does not providing copywriting services you should invest in hiring a professional writer yourself. This will help to ensure the copy on your website is not only valuable to your visitors but also considered valuable to search engines.

Using a Website to Market Your Business

By: John Ugoshowa

There are many different ways to advertise your business on the Internet. Placing banner ads, orchestrating an email marketing campaign and tactfully mentioning your business on industry related forums and message boards are just a few of the popular options for Internet marketing. Another Internet marketing strategy involves creating and advertising a website to promote your business. You can use your website in a number of ways. Some of these ways include providing more information about your business and the products or services you offer, letting potential customers know how to reach you and even selling your products and services via the website. This article will highlight the advantages of using a website to market your business and will outline some of the ways the website can be useful.

One great advantage to using a website to market your business on the Internet is that you can place descriptions and photos of the products or services your business offers. This is important because many consumers use the Internet when researching products and services. Having an online presence gives your business an advantage over the competition because consumers are much more likely to select your products or services over the products and services offered by your competitors who do not advertise online.

Another advantage to marketing your business on a website is you can use the website to not only market but also sell your products directly. Again this can give you an edge over the direct competition. Consumers who use the Internet to research products and services are often very anxious to make their purchases and they would be more inclined to select a retailer or service providers who offer the opportunity to purchase products or services online over a retailer or service provider who only allows for purchase in a store or via phone.

Still another advantage to using a website to market your business is the ability to reach a large, worldwide audience. The Internet essentially knows no boundaries and advertising on a website means the business owner can reach competitors around the world instead of being limited to their general location. Advertising via other medium such as television, radio and the print media is somewhat limited and may only reach potential customers in a relatively small geographic area.

Another advantage to using a website to market your business is the Internet is available 24 hours a day around the world. This essentially offers you a storefront which is open 24 hours a day. While your competitors may be limited to their regular business hours, your website will enable you to reach your customers at any hour of the day. This is especially important for reaching potential customers in other time zones and for reach customers in your own area who are simply too busy to shop for products or services like the ones you offer during regular business hours. Many potential customers work long hours and appreciate the ability to research and shop online after hours.

One final advantage to using a website to market your business is you can actually generate a profit from your website in other ways than through sales to customers. You can also use your website to generate income by selling advertising space to other business owners who are marketing their own products and services on the Internet. However, care should be taken when advertising on your website. First of all you should not sell advertising space to direct competitors. This is important because this may cause you to lose potential business if potential customers opt to purchase product or services from competitors who advertise on your website. An ideal advertiser is one who offers products and services which do not directly compete with your own products or services but would be of interest to your potential customers. You should also take care not to place too many advertisements on your website. This is important because too many advertisements may detract from your business and may cause you to lose potential customers.

Using Message Boards for Internet Marketing

By: John Ugoshowa

Internet marketing is a very wide term which can be used to encompass a variety of marketing techniques which are used online. Banner advertisements, website promotion, search engine optimization, email marketing and affiliate marketing all fall under the umbrella of the term Internet marketing but there is even more to Internet marketing than those concepts. Promoting your website or business on message boards can also be considered to be Internet marketing. In fact this is one of the simplest and least expensive Internet marketing options available. This article will examine how savvy business owners can use Internet message boards wisely. It will also explain how message boards can be misused and rendered ineffective as well.

Message boards are essentially online meeting places. In general most message boards are focused on a particular niche subject and encourage those who share an interest in this particular subject to get together to discuss relevant issues, ask questions, provide advice and even just socialize. Message boards can focus on any subject imaginable they may focus on a particular baseball team or just the sport of baseball in general. Message boards can focus on subjects such as politics, television shows, bands, current events, jobs, hobbies or any subject imaginable. Savvy Internet marketers can take advantage of these message boards to reach a target audience without investing a great deal of money.

Consider a business in which the focus of the business is to assist people in finding jobs which offer telecommute options. The concept of working from home is becoming increasingly popular and there are many websites which focus on this subject. Likewise there are also many message boards devoted to the topic of working from home. Here those with an interest in the subject meet to discuss issues such as finding employment where working from home is an option, working around the schedule of your children, setting up a home office, dealing with friends or family members who don’t respect your working hours and paying taxes on freelance assignments. A business owner who actively participates in this message board can take the opportunity to post a link to his website when it is relevant and offers something of value to the conversation. This is worthwhile because the message board features a high concentration of your target audience members.

When using message boards to promote your business, it is important to ensure you are following the rules associated with the message boards. Message boards may have restrictions regarding the posting of links and failure to abide by these restrictions may result in you being banned from the message board. For this reason it is important for anyone who is interested in using message boards for promotion of their business to carefully read the user agreement to ensure they are not violating any of the rules. It is also important to simply use common sense when promoting your business on a message board. Just because the rules do not restrict posting links, does not mean you should spam the board with your link. Take care to only include y our link when it is relevant. This will prevent message board users from assuming your link is just worthless spam.

Finally, when using message boards to promote your business it is important to be courteous to other message board users and to keep all posts professional. This is important because you and your business are much more likely to be taken seriously if you act professionally and responsibly. You should maintain this degree of professionalism even in posts which do not include your business link. This is important because other message board participants will remember you by your user name and will not be likely to take you seriously if you have previously made posts which were offensive, mean spirited or inaccurate. For this reason it is important to act as a representative from your company at all times.

AdWords!

By: Dead-Yahoo

AdWords is Google's flagship advertising product, and main source of revenue. AdWords offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads. The AdWords program includes local, national, and international distribution. Google's text advertisements are short, consisting of one title line and two content text lines. Image ads can be one of several different Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard sizes.

Pay-Per-Click advertisements (PPC):
Advertisers specify the words that should trigger their ads and the maximum amount they are willing to pay per click. When a user searches Google's search engine on www.google.com, ads for relevant words are shown as "sponsored link" on the right side of the screen, and sometimes above the main search results. The ordering of the paid listings depends on other advertisers' bids (thus the system is classified as P4P) and the historical click-through rates of all ads shown for a given search. The auction mechanism that determines the order of the ads has been called a "generalized second price" auction. It is a variation of the Vickrey auction.

AdWords distribution:
All AdWords ads are eligible to be shown on google.com. Advertisers also have the option of enabling their ads to show on Google's partner networks. The "search network" includes AOL search, Ask.com, and Netscape. Like google.com, these search engines show AdWords ads in response to user searches.

The "content network" shows AdWords ads on sites that are not search engines. Google automatically determines the subject of the pages and displays ads for which the advertiser has specified an interest in that subject. The ads show in boxes resembling banner ads, with the designation "Ads By Gooooooooooogle." These content network sites are those that use AdSense, the other side of the Google advertising model.

AdWords is used by publishers who wish to bring traffic to their websites. The biggest competitors are Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture) and Microsoft adCenter.

History:
The AdWords product was launched in 2000.[1] At first advertisers would pay a monthly amount, and Google would set up and manage their campaign. To accommodate small businesses and those who wanted to manage their own campaigns, Google soon introduced the AdWords self-service portal. As of 2005, Google provides a campaign management service called Jumpstart [2] to assist advertisers in setting up their campaigns.

In 2005, Google launched a program to certify individuals and companies who have completed AdWords training and passed an exam. Due to the complexity of AdWords and the amount of money at stake, many advertisers choose to hire a consultant to manage their campaigns.

Ad blocking and Adwords:
1. Search
The ads are displayed on the top or right hand side of the natural search results. The ads are pure text, and thus difficult to block for normal ad-blocking software. However, the Mozilla Firefox extension CustomizeGoogle can remove them.

2. Content network
Advertisements on content websites are displayed via javascript-generated iframes and can be easily blocked, either by turning off javascript or using ad-blocking software such as adblock.

3. Proxies
The search proxy Scroogle allows users to perform Google searches without receiving Google advertisements.

Technology:
The AdWords system was initially implemented on top of the MySQL database engine. After the system had been launched, management decided to use a commercial database (Oracle) instead. As is typical of applications simultaneously written and tuned for one database, and ported to another, the system became much slower, so eventually it was returned to MySQL.

Make Money With Google Adwords

By: Aaron Ballantyne

The most important thing you need to make money online is getting targeted traffic to the website that you want to promote. Targeted traffic is just people who are interested in what your website is promoting. The best way I know of to get targeted traffic fast is google adwords. When you use google adwords you pay for every visitor that clicks on your ad and goes to your site. This is generally known as pay per click or ppc advertising. There are also many other ways for other people doing affiliate marketing to earn commissions but the fastest way to get started is using adwords. This can also be the easiest way to lose money fast if you don't know what your doing. The best resource to learn about using google to make money online in my opinion is Google Cash. Another great source of information is Adwords Miracle. Now I would like to share some tips for getting the most out of google adwords.

1. Start off keeping bids very low. Better to have fewer clicks and sales than to lose a lot of money.

2. Turn off content match. It doesn't convert to sales well. If you do decide to have content match on keep content bids very low (1/3 of search bids or less).

3. Keep daily budgets low. I recommend $5 a day at most starting a campaign to see if it will be profitable.

4. Instead of advertising on google everywhere think about targeting certain countries. It saved me a lot of money once I started targeting my ads to certain countries.

5. Break your ads up into small groups and make separate ads for simaler keywords.

6. Put [brackets] around your keywords. You will get fewer clicks but your keywords will get matched exactly by google. If you don't use brackets you ads could show up for keywords you might not want google to match on.

7. Test different ads. Google will give preference to ads that get clicked more often and the ads will get clicked more will cost less per click. Keep the ads that do well and the ones with low clickthrough rates should be deleted.

8. Your keywords should be well chosen and specific. General keywords like music will get you a lot of traffic but won't convert to sales as well as specific keywords.

9. You can have google place your keywords right in your ad titles for you automatically. It's called dynamic keyword insertion. Basically when you make your ad title you type in {keyword:default}. In place of default you put a title to use when your keywords are too long for google to put in. Dynamic keyword insertion is a powerful tool that will get more clickthroughs for your ads and higher conversions to sales. The only drawback of dynamic keyword insertion is that the price per click increases.

10. If your clickthrough rates on your ad campaigns aren't at least 1% I would recommend changing the ad or deleting certain keywords in the ad group with a low clickthrough rate. The higher your clickthrough rate the better your ad is performing and ad costs will be less.

11. The more you can think like people who are searching for the products you are promoting the better you will be able to make your ads and keywords.

12. The tricky part of adwords is that you want your ads to stand out and get people to click on them but at the same time there are also people you don't want clicking your ads. First thing you want to discourage are "freebie seekers". These people will click your ads thinking they will get something for free and will never buy anything from your ads. To discourage freebie seekers I recommend doing 2 things. First of all you the word free should not be put in an ad. Secondly you should put the price of the the product you are promoting in the ad, preferably right in the title. This will drive up your per click costs and give you less traffic but you will get the traffic that's more serious about buying the product your'e marketing.

13. Whenever possible ad campaign performance should be tracked to see how your ads and keywords are performing. Google provides a publisher id number that can be used with many affiliate programs. When you include your publisher id in the url that you send your traffic to you will get back inportant information such as which keywords are getting the sales, what your sales conversion ratio is and cost per sale. this ad tracking information can be used to increase profits on your campaigns by allowing you to delete keywords that don't make any sales.

14. I've found that advertising on google exclusively and not on the entire google network has brought the greatest return on my campaigns.

Advertising in google adwords can be a great way to make money online. If you own a website another way of making money with google is to put their ads on your site through the google adsense program.

using google adwords to drive traffic

By: John Ugoshowa

Highly targeted traffic is one of the most important entities in the internet universe. Any website owner or administrator recognizes the importance of driving traffic to a website. The success of any website does not rely entirely on the site itself. You may have a terrific idea for a website, offer an excellent product or service, or have an exceptionally designed site with superb content, but if you do not use the right strategies to advertise, your site would not attract the high traffic you need. Attracting targeted traffic is a task that should be taken seriously for any site to succeed or make a profit. Fortunately, there are internet-marketing tools that help the website marketer to drive traffic to his website. One of the most significant, and effective, of these tools is Google's Adwords. Adwords is one of Google's advertising services.

How does Google Adwords work? Google is the largest search engine on the web receiving over 200 million queries each day through its various services. As Google is the most popular search engine today, webmasters are keen on having their websites achieve a higher ranking in the search engine results it provides. A high ranking can mean high traffic for that website. The search engine results page is also a great venue for advertisers to promote a product or service through ads and links. Consequently, Google launched its Adwords service, as a way for businesses to advertise products and services to a targeted audience. Google Adwords can guarantee instant traffic. In this service, Google displays relevant text based ads within its search engine results page termed as "Sponsored Links". Whenever a particular keyword is searched on, these relevant links appear in a separate section giving excellent exposure to the sites listed.

How do you use Google Adwords? First, you have to open an account with the Google Adwords Service. Then, you should indicate your target language and country. This is important because you would not want your products advertised in countries where your product or service cannot be sold. Afterwards, you should now create an ad group. This involves designing the ad, selecting keywords and determining maximum cost per click that you are willing to spend and defining bid amounts. The most important step in creating a successful Adwords campaign is selecting an effective title tag that will catch the attention of your target audience. The title tag, generally a short phrase, is the most important part of your Adwords campaign so make sure that it is attractive and catchy. You should describe the website clearly and accurately. The most effective advertising conveys a clear message to the target audience. With a clear message, you will be attracting qualified leads, which can eventually convert to sale. Thus, the importance of selecting the right keywords cannot be overemphasized.

There are keyword variations you can adapt to reach more prospects. Using these varieties, misspellings and derivatives can help increase the chance of your ads being served. Broad match is targeting keywords in a loosely defined manner. Here, the ads appear based on the keywords that have been queried by other users as opposed to exact match, which calls for the keyword to match the query exactly. Meanwhile, a keyword phrase set to phrase match will only appear when the exact phrase is searched on. A negative keyword is helpful in filtering unrelated pages.

After you have decided on what title tag to use in your ad, you must now define a budget in order to maximize exposure. Google Adwords recommend a daily budget for each campaign. However, you should determine a budget that is suitable and affordable. You should also determine the maximum cost per click. Google will offer a recommended cost per click, but you do not have to stick with this. Usually, a number one position is not ideal as it can also attract unwanted traffic and useless clicks. A number two position is more preferred as it can filter useless clicks and provide traffic with a higher conversion rate.

To conclude, Google Adwords is an excellent strategy and tool in giving your site maximum exposure. Nevertheless, Google Adwords should not be your sole advertising campaign. It will definitely help you find the all-important, highly targeted traffic you need.

Is Google AdWords Worth The Cost?

By: nPresence

Have you noticed the listings that are placed on a better position in a search engine result page? These listings are on a more visible position because they are paid listings. Many search engines today – especially the major search engines – accept paid listing.

Paid listings have captured the interest of many webmasters and web marketing experts due to its many benefits. Here are some of the most relevant benefits of a paid listing:

• Paid listing allows your website and ads to appear instantly on the search engine result pages or SERPs.

• Paid listing places your website on a more visible area on the search results.

• Paid listing lets you choose the keywords, keyword phrases and search terms to associate with your website or ads.

• Paid listing lets you control the amount you pay for the appearance of your website and ads.

One of the major search engines that accept paid listing is Google. Its paid listing program is known as Google AdWords. Aside from Google, other popular search engines like Yahoo and MSN also encourages webmasters and web advertisers to try their paid listings programs.

Google AdWords

Google places its paid listings on a highly visible area of its search result pages or SERPs. It can either be located above the free listings or on the right hand side. Either position makes your ads more visible to the online searchers.

Google calls its paid listing program as Google AdWords. This advertising program is commonly known as AdWords alone among webmasters, web marketing specialists and online advertisers. Why will webmasters and web marketing advertisers use Google AdWords. One reason is immediate visibility and appearance of the ads and the website on Google search result pages.

Google’s free listing may take some time before your website will actually appear live. As a solution to this, Google allows webmasters and web promoters to have the opportunity to be listed the fast way. However, this instant website visibility cost an amount – thus, it is called a paid listing.

Google AdWords Charges

How much does Google charge its AdWords users? Is it a large amount? Actually it is not. Google charges its AdWords advertisers an activation fee of $5. And the rest of the charges all depend on the advertisers.

Google allows webmasters and AdWords users to determine the amount they want to pay for their ads. This is done through bidding. You bid for the keywords you want to associate with your ads. Basically, in terms of charging, Google gives you the flexibility of choice. Just a reminder, do not bid for an amount that you can’t maintain. Remember that you will be paying for that amount in every click that your paid listing receives.

Other than Google AdWords, there are still more paid listing opportunities online. There is Yahoo’s Overture and MSN Paid Listing Program. The choice depends on you. These are all good site visibility opportunities.

Affiliate Marketing And Why It's The Ideal Business

By: Aaron Ballantyne

Affiliate marketing is a business where one earns commissions for selling other peoples products or generating leads for companies. To earn commissions an affiliate marketer must send targeted traffic to their affiliate website. Typically an affiliate first signs up with a network such as clickbank and can choose which programs they want to promote. The affiliate uses a special website address to send traffic to called hoplinks so they receive credit for any sales made. The network tracks sales made through these links and pays the affiliate their commissions.

Affiliate marketing is an ideal business to own for a number of reasons. First of all there is no physical products for an affilitate marketer to handle. In a traditional business there is usually physical goods to sell which creates many expenses such as building rent, utilities, labor and the cost buying the goods from a manufacturer or wholesaler. These expenses drive a businesses rate of return down and make it difficult to make a profit. None of these expenses exist in an affiliate marketing business.

Secondly an affiliate marketer does not have to deal with customer issues such as inquiries, refunds or any disputes that might arise. These problems are all handled by the merchant and not the affiliate.

Finally an affiliate marketer has much more flexibility tor work on his or her business with regards to time and location. Most traditional businesses are operated from a set location whereas an affiliate marketer can run their business from anywhere in the world with a internet connection. Almost all brick and mortar businesses keep set hours of operation. An affiliate marketing business can be operated anytime the owner wishes. Once an affiliate has their system of traffic generation to their affiliate links in place they often find that much of their business operates on autopilot.

Even though affiliate marketing is an ideal business there are challenges. There is a lot of competition in the affiliate marketing world particularly for those using google adwords or other pay per click search engine advertising to send traffic to their affiliate sites. This intense competition in google adwords has made it increasingly difficult for affiliates to make money online. The most sucessful affiliate marketers use multiple methods in addition to google adwords to drive traffic to their websites. Some of these other methods include search engine optimization, ezine advertising, article marketing and blogs. Even with utilizing multiple methods of traffic generation ,competition is ever increasing. This is why many affiliates are always looking for new market niches that have less competition. In spite of the challenges affiliate marketing remains an ideal business.

Affiliate Marketing With Google Adwords

By: Aaron Ballantyne

The quickest way to generate targeted traffic and start earning commissions with an affiliate marketing business is to use google adwords. One doesn't even need a website of their own to make money online using adwords. Traffic can be sent directly to an affiliate link. Even though this is the easiest way to make money online I recommend those who advertise on google send traffic to their own website first for a couple of reasons. First of all traffic sent to a information pre sell site tends to provide much higher sales conversions than just using direct affiliate links. Secondly google has recently tightened its quality scoring of websites making the cost per click skyrocket for many who were sending traffic to direct links. This has priced many affiliate marketers out of using adwords and is widely known as the "google slap". I've found a good way to improve quality scores and lower cost per click is to write topical blogs and send adwords traffic to them. The blogs can have the affiliate links included in the text. For best results the text links should be the same or related to the keywords bidded on in an adwords campaign.

A critical part of adwords success is the ad itself. The ad needs to have a high clickthrough rate to recieve a lower cost per click. An ad should have keywords that the advertiser is bidding on included in the title. Many ads should be created and tested. The ads that have low clickthrough rates meaning usually below 1 percent should be deleted. One technique that can be used is dynamic keyword insertion. With dynamic keyword insertion google will put the keywords in the title of an ad automatically. To use dynamic keyword insertion in place of the title one must put {keyword:default}. In place of default a keyword or phrase should be used in case a keyword phrase bidded on is too long for google to automatically insert the keyword.

Keywords are another important consideration in using google adwords. The better keywords to bid on are usually specific lower traffic words rather than the higher traffic general terms. For example a keyword like "music" will not convert to sales as well as words like specific songs or artists names. The more closely the keywords are related to the topic of the website the better. Just like ads underperforming keywords with low clickthrough rates should also be deleted and new keywords periodically tested.

Where many go wrong with adwords is they set up an ad campaign and never go back to make changes. In order to be successful using adwords an affiliate marketer must continually make adjustments to fine tune their campaigns. This means they must constantly be testing new ads and keywords and deleting underperformers. If one does this consistently an adwords campaign is likely to cost much less and be more profitable.

Google AdWords: 5 Secrets for a Successful Campaign

By: Carl Duncker

5 Secrets Of A Successful Google AdWords Campaign

The success of a Google AdWords project can be significantly enhanced if you follow 5 simple steps.

Step 1 - Define your marketing objectives

What are your marketing objectives?

Many users of Google AdWords become shortsighted and use the system to drive traffic to their site for instant sales. This leaves those companies who sell through other outlets, such as retail, confused as to where their opportunities lie with Google AdWords.

Google AdWords can help with 3 possible marketing objectives:

1. Direct Sales

If you simply wish to sell a product "off-the-shelf" then Google AdWords is perfect for you.

Drive traffic instantly to your web page and hey presto! Well, that's the theory.

2. Brand Awareness

Even if you're unlikely to achieve a sale on the internet, Google AdWords offers a unique and cost-effective opportunity for raising awareness of new products.

Take my example:

I was delivering some marketing training recently to a multinational dairy produce company and they happened to mention a new cheese product.

We discussed using Google AdWords and at first they couldn't see the opportunity. That was until we calculated how many searches are conducted each month for cheese. Some 20,000 if I recall correctly!

Do you know how much these companies spend on advertsising to raise awareness? Hundreds of thousands of pounds, dollars or whatever currency.

Yet here are 20,000 interested buyers searching for "cheese" where a minimum bid would succeed in getting the company infront of almost 1/4 million potential buyers each year! How great would that be.

Then by having these potential buyers sign up to some form of opt-in a long-term relationship can begin to develop.

3. Educational

Our local and central governments spend fortunes on raising awareness of social issues in an attempt to change behaviours.

Yet a search for "stop smoking", for example, provides us with a collection of private companies only. That's an opportunity wasted.

Step 2 - Analysis

FAQ’s About Google AdWords

By: Matt Bacak

If you are a savvy Internet marketer then you know the immense power of Google AdWords. Google AdWords can drive a significant amount of traffic to your website which leads to sales. More sales mean more money in your pocket. Since Google AdWords is so important, it is crucial that you optimize your use of Google AdWords. Therefore, following are common questions and issues that arise in using Google AdWords. They may be issues that you are aware of or have never thought of before. Read on to see if you are maximizing the benefits of Google AdWords.

Google AdWords Question #1: Let's say that your Google Adwords campaign was successful for 4-5 weeks then the rate of conversion began to diminish significantly. What modifications can you make to fix this problem? First, look to see if you have changed anything in your Google Adwords account. Did you make any changes such as changing keywords and headlines that could affect your Google Adwords success? If you haven't changed anything in your Google Adwords campaign then modify your squeeze page.

Look at your squeeze page carefully. Does your testimonial match the set up and/or information in your squeeze page? You can modify your verbiage or change the focus of the testimonial if need be. This may help solve the problem.

Google AdWords Question #2: You also want to set up a Yahoo keywords account. Is there an easy way to copy all your keywords from your Google Adwords account into your Yahoo keywords account? Yes. You can copy and paste keywords from Google Adwords that are performing the best for you and bring them into Yahoo when setting up a Yahoo keywords account. You can also take your top performing ads in Google Adwords and bring them into Yahoo.

Google AdWords Question #3: How does the Dynamic Keyword Insertion code work? For example, you may have an ad pop in Google in which only the keyword shows up and NOT the headline. Why does this happen? If the keyword somebody types into Google is short enough to fit in the headline then the headline will only consist of the keyword. If the keyword somebody types into Google is very long (i.e. several words) then your default headline will show up instead. Test and tweak your Google Adwords.

Google AdWords Question #4: Where can you get split-test software? How much does it cost? Google AdWords has a split-test feature, but you may also want to split your squeeze page and sales letter. Use One shopping Cart/Kick Start Cart to split test your squeeze page and sales letter. These programs have an ad tracker feature. It lets you conduct A-B split tests and A-B-C split test options.

How to Make Money Online with Google AdWords?

By: Dennis Alexander

We all heard about making money online. The question is how do you rely start making money online today. I am going to share with you on how you can start making money online without having a website, not knowing anything about web design, and not spending much money. That is right you do not have to have any knowledge of HTML code. All you have to know is how to type. There are hundreds of courses on the internet charging you hundreds of dollar for the information I am about to share with you. Do not spend any money on any online marketing tools until you read this.

The one way to take advantage of Google AdWords is to become affiliate. Affiliate marketing is where someone advertises for another website and in return that person receives commission for each sale their advertising brigs to that website. Here’s an example: Let’s say I want to sell Laptop Computers, but I don’t have a website and/or I don’t have any computers to sell. Well instead of starting a company, I can just find a company online which already sells computers and offers an affiliate program. Now that I have searched and found a company, I look at what they offer. Let’s say they are giving 10% commission on every sale I make. I decide to use that company and I set up my affiliate account with them and they give me a special URL (a web address that will let the company know that it was my advertising which gave them the sale), which I use in my advertisements. Now I make ad advertisement, and display it on Google. Whenever someone sees and clicks on my advertisement it will go to the company’s webpage. Let’s say that one hundred people clicked on my text advertisement and one of them buys a computer that cost $1,200. Because that person who bought the computer clicked on my advertisement that company will give me 10% of $1,200 which means that I made $120.00

Most online companies offer affiliate program. Companies like Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Max, Amazon.com, Buy.com and many more, literally tens of thousands. There are also companies online which all they do is offer other online business a way to have an affiliate program. These affiliate Companies manage affiliate programs for thousands of online companies. This means that if you have an account with Affiliate Company (they are completely free), you can advertise for any of the thousands of companies that use them to manage their affiliate sales. If you want to, you can search Google for affiliate programs just to see how big online marketing currently is.

By using AdWords and high paying affiliate program you can start earning money today. The AdWords advertisements are Pay Per Click (PPC), which means that the owner of that advertisement pays Google every time someone clicks on their advertisement. The main reason for wanting to pay for traffic is because it is very very difficult to receive free traffic on Google. When you sign up for Google AdWords Pay Per Click advertising your advertisement will be displayed almost immediately in Google’s search results (usually within 5 minutes). You can also decide which page you want your advertisements to be displayed on ( the first page receives more visitors than the other pages).

It is very simple to start Google AdWords account. Go to www.google.com and look toward the bottom of the page. You will see a link says “Advertising Programs”. Once you there, you should click on the link which says Google AdWords. After clicking “Click to Begin”, you will be taken to a couple of pages which will ask you how you want to set up your advertising group(s) with Google. Google will send you an email to the email address you specified which will contain a URL that you will need to go to in order to activate your account. After you go to that URL you can log into Google AdWords using your email address as your user name. Now that you have an account set up, you are ready to learn how to create a Campaign so you can begin making money online.

Here is how to create a AdWords campaign in Google. First off to create a new keyword campaign, click the link” Keyword-Targeted” campaign. You will be prompted to name your campaign. Your campaign name is what will be displayed on the first screen when you log into your Google AdWords account. Since you will most likely have several campaigns, when you name your campaign you will want to make sure it is unique name that will let you know exactly what you are advertising in that campaign. Next you will need to name your AdGroup. Remember, you will have several different AdGroups with one Campaign, so name it something that will help you know exactly what keywords are in that AdGroup. Next, you should choose the area(s) where you want your ads to appear. There are three different ways to choose where you want to advertise. You can choose to advertise by Countries and Territories, Regions and Cities, or Customized.

The most important thing you need in order to have a successful Google campaign is a text ad with a high CTR. Text Ads with a high CTR will increase your Quality Score which will increase your overall position.

Things You Should Know:

1. You are not required to have “http:” or “www” in your display URL.

2. Google will not let you capitalize all the letters in all your words, but they
will let you capitalize most of your words.

3. The website must not require additional software to load (example: it
cannot be a .pdf instead of .htm).

4. Back button must be able to go back to Google with one click.

5. You can’t have websites that mirror other websites that are advertised for
the same keyword (example: having the same pictures and text but using
a different web address). I know many affiliates do this, but I don’t know
how much Google enforces this rule.

6. The website you are advertising cannot have a pop up or pup under ad.

Another key to having a successful online business is making sure that every single person who is even the slightest bit interested in your product sees your advertisement. The best way to do this is by creating a very huge keyword list (thousands of keywords). Some products have many keywords, while others have very few. Usually the more keywords there are available for the product, the better. Not because it is searched more often, but also because most people who are also selling the same product will only select a few general keywords which may be very broad keywords.

When you bid on Google, you will not always pay the price you enter. The price you enter is the MCPC (Maximum Cost Per Click) you are willing to pay for that keyword. Google constantly updating the bids for the keywords in their search engine. For example if your MCPC is $0.15 and the advertiser in front of you is bidding $0.16 and the Ad one position behind you is bidding $0.05, you will only pay $0.06 per click, because there is no reason why you should have to pay $0.15 per click if you can get the same Ad position for $0.06 per click.

Google is a most searched search engine on the internet and with that they are consistently making update and improvement. If you are really serious about making money online or promotion you current business I will make a recommendation that will make you an absolute pro on AdWords. I’ve spend thousands trying to research best possible ways to market in the internet.

Easy Profits With Google Adwords

By: Stephen Wright

One article after another on the topic of getting traffic to your website describes how Google Adwords is the preferred method to many home based business marketers. In the category of pay per click (PPC) methods Google Adwords is clearly the undisputed leader. They have become successful by creating a complete solution to traffic, content, and user friendly environment.

Just as important, if not more so for home business internet marketers is the ability to use Google Adwords as a means to drive traffic to our respective websites. With Google's unique capability to drive targeted traffic to websites, the return of investment for advertising dollars becomes even more attractive. In the case of internet advertising, more traffic "potentially" means more sales. More sales "ideally" mean more revenues and profits for you.

If you are not careful you quickly will find that the real secret to advertising is not about volume. An insider secret is that to be successful, you must have targeted traffic, carefully chosen in advance with Google Adwords methods.

For most individual and small internet business marketers, financial success can be found in using Google Adwords. Done correctly, they are able to generate significant profits by focusing on smaller niche and sub niche markets.

You will quickly find that Google Adwords can be a good investment of your advertising dollars for those who follow careful techniques to target specific keywords. That is, keywords which precisely identify niche areas along with the right advertisement for those keywords. This will translate into higher targeted volumes of traffic and potential revenues.

To be able to target the correct niches and related keywords for those niche areas home business marketers have a host of possible utility tools. Some of these are web-based and some are software driven. Checkout InternetMarketingUSA.com for recommendations of the programs I have used.

And of course, the "real beauty" of advertising in Google Adwords is that you only pay for actual clicks on your ads. Think about it. This is an incredible value compared to traditional advertising such as newspapers, magazines, etc. where you pay fixed rates for coverage exposure, irrespective of results. This shotgun approach is both ineffective and inefficient. Advantage pay-per-click programs such as Google Adwords.

While it is not accurate to say that using pay-per click advertising is free money, it certainly is accurate to say that it is easy money. Compared to using traditional advertising and marketing methods, it certainly makes it easier to target traffic to your websites. After being led to your website based on interest in what you are selling, they arrive with a greater chance of liking what they see and being receptive to your offerings.
